Meryl Streep’s Anti-Trump speech was a moment of joy for every Liberal that was watching the Golden globes.
The Hollywood movie producer Judd Apatow went as far to say, “We will need a lot of people as clear and brave as Meryl Streep if we are to fight the corruption, bad ideas, and lies of Donald Trump.”
Calling Streep “brave” for ranting at an award show didn’t sit well with Iraq War veteran J.R. Salzman.
Namely Vet. Salzman lost his right arm in a vehicle attack in Iraq. His vehicle was hit with an EFP, a device that is designed to penetrate armor.
Here is the last photo that was taken of Salzman before losing his arm:
Salzman’s website explains what happened to him:
His right arm was severed below the elbow and his left hand was pulverized by the blast. He also suffered a traumatic brain injury. As he is allergic to morphine, he was transported to a field hospital before any anesthetic was given.
Salzman, someone who understands what it means to be brave, responded with a powerful message and before-and-after photo:
I too hope to one day be as courageous and selfless as Meryl Streep. pic.twitter.com/aQm8tdwayu

“I too hope to one day be as courageous and selfless as Meryl Streep.”
The attack on Salzman took place 10 years ago.
His Humvee was riddled with holes
The shrapnel they pulled out of his arm
A decade ago, Salzman was putting his life on the line in Iraq, demonstrating true bravery and sacrifice for his country.
On the other hand, ten years ago Meryl Streep was strutting the red carpet at the premiere of her new Hollywood film “The Devil Wears Prada.”
How can someone like Meryl talks about bravery…
