The designer of Michelle Obama, Sophie Theallet is in the spotlight after she wrote that she refuses to dress Melania Trump.
“As one who celebrates and strives for diversity, individual freedom and respect for all lifestyles, I will not participate in dressing or associating in any way with the next first lady,” she started.
“The rhetoric of racism, sexism, and xenophobia unleashed by her husband’s presidential campaign are incompatible with the shared values we live by. I encourage my fellow designers to do the same, “she wrote.
But here’s what celebrity designer Bradley Scott said about it: “First lady is the first lady. It’s a position that should be exalted not disrespected. I can not believe anyone would basically spit at the opportunity. It’s so un-American.”
However, Melania style is incredibly good. Well, the joke is on Michelle. Melania was perfectly dressed during the campaign. One thing is certain, Melania doesn’t need help from Sophie Theallet. During the campaign, she wore: Ralph Lauren, Fendi, Gucci, Michael Kors and Dolce & Gabbana. One word describes our first lady – flawless.
