Police officers are one of few most respected and honorable jobs in a country. However, ever since Barack Obama sat on the presidential stool, attacks on police officers started to alarmingly increase. Now, these anarchistic rules are over. The day has come where law will be back in order. Today, Texas lawmakers are giving anarchy a great punch with a new bill that would make the attack of police officers and first responders a hate crime.
According to Fox News. “We’re going to ask that it become an emergency legislative item for the governor so that as soon as we get to Austin in January, we pass it right away, make it law right away,” said Republican State Rep. Jason Villalba.
When this legislation passes, it will increase the maximum and minimum penalties for attacking a police officer, emergency personnel as well as firefighting squad.
This initiative was started after the horrible murder of the San Antonio Police Officer who was killed by gangsters while on duty.
The Officer Down Memorial Page counts 58 police officers that have been shot dead this year alone. Texas Governor Gred Abbott was forcing such a bill after 5 cops were shot dead by sniper in Dallas last July.
