In the build-up to election 2016, how many Hollywood “celebrities” threatened to leave the country if Donald Trump won?
More than just a few, right?
Off the top of my head: Amy Schumer, Miley Cyrus, Whoopi Goldberg, Samuel L. Jackson, Cher, Lena Dunham, Jon Stewart, Bryan Cranston, Neve Campbell, Barbara Streisand and George Lopez.
It turns out, though, Canadians don’t want them. They’ve got all the liberals it needs alone with Justin Trudeau, and they are saying, “Thanks, but no thanks.”
Speculation is that Canadians are considering a wall on their southern border to keep out a mass migration of disgruntled American liberals.
The Canadian Immigration and Citizenship website crashed Tuesday night after being inundated with requests for information on how to immigrate there. They warned, however, that immigrating north isn’t as easy as jumping a border.
According to Heatstreet:
To avoid deportation back to Trump’s America, they’d have to spend years in Canada’s aggressive filter system and spend thousands of dollars. And then, they’d have to find jobs in Canada’s crowded urban metropolises—unless, of course, they like farming.
Twitter was even abuzz with tweets telling American celebs they weren’t wanted, especially one in particular:
